Surface roots — tripping hazard and sidewalk damage
Multiple stumps left after tree removal
Tree stumps left in your yard aren’t just an eyesore. They’re a tripping hazard for your family, a magnet for termites and carpenter ants, and a mowing obstacle you work around every week. Surface roots crack driveways and sidewalks. Regrowth keeps coming back. And if you’re trying to use that space — for a patio, a fence, or just a clean lawn — that stump is in the way every single day.
Common Problems Stumps Cause
Trip hazard for children and elderly
Termite and wood-boring insect habitat
Mowing and landscaping obstacle every week
Root regrowth damages sidewalks and driveways
Reduces curb appeal and property value
Takes up usable outdoor space

How deep do you grind the stump?
We grind below grade — typically 6 to 12 inches below the surface, deep enough that you can sod over it, pour concrete, or build without interference from the old root system.
Do you remove the wood chips and debris?
Yes. Cleanup is part of the job. We leave the site tidy. You can use the wood chips for mulch or we remove them — just let us know your preference when you schedule.
How long does stump grinding take?
Most single-stump jobs are completed in under an hour. Multiple stumps or larger diameter stumps take longer. We’ll give you an honest time estimate with your quote.
Do you serve Orange Park and Clay County?
Yes. We serve Jacksonville, Orange Park, Middleburg, Fleming Island, Green Cove Springs, Keystone Heights, and surrounding Clay County areas.
Is stump grinding the same as stump removal?
Stump grinding uses a machine to grind the stump and surface roots into wood chips below ground level. Full stump extraction removes the entire root ball. For most residential projects, grinding is sufficient and much less invasive to your yard.
